SPRING TERM: Yoga for a Healthy Back

DESCRIPTION

Strengthen and Improve Posture and Back Health Tight and sore neck or shoulders? Strain in your middle back? Pain in your lower back? Jaw pain? Headaches? All of these discomforts can originate from weakness and imbalance of the neck, shoulders, back, abdominals, and even your legs. This Course is designed to bring awareness to the interconnectedness of the back to the greater body as a system. We explore healthy alignment and movement of the spine, shoulders, back, abs, and hips, while also building strength, increasing flexibility and creating a better balance between the two. What You Will Learn: * How to understand the forces in the body that contribute to back pain * Why alignment is so important to building and maintaining a healthy back * How to gradually and efficiently build strength and increase flexibility to support a healthy back * How to reduce back pain by using the extension of the limbs to create length and space in the spine. This Course includes: - Weekly Yoga for a Healthy Back sessions - One additional studio Class of your choice each week (at no additional cost). *This Course is for a healthy yoga student familiar with the foundations of yoga and basic yoga postures. **This Course is not a therapeutic class nor does it offer rehabilitation of back injuries. This Course is not for those currently experiencing pain due to an existing back injury.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and you may not be able to make a scheduled session of the Course. Please note that this will not impact your remaining sessions in the Course or the Bonus Class Passes provided in your Member Account. Course enrollment dropped within the first 2 weeks of the Term will be credited to your Member Account. We will gladly reschedule you into the next available Course Term of any topic. Course enrollment fees are non-refundable and may not be used for services other than Courses.
