You're at the beach. You want a little yoga in your life. Let's combine this and create the best time of your week! Whether you want to join in one of our public classes or plan a private event, we've got you covered with everything you need for an outstanding time experiencing yoga in nature.

Every week we offer Yoga on the Beach open to anyone who wants to join us. We are located right by the beach. Registration is fast and easy. Click the link below.

ABOUT YOGA ON THE BEACH

Practicing yoga on the beach is relaxation like no other. The live “music” of the world around you is the soundtrack for your practice. Waves breaking on shore, the call of seagulls and other birds, voices in the distance, the sounds of summer and a community at rest - these all serve to enhance your experience of grounding into the earth, unity with the sea, feeling connected to nature and to yourself. Be here for all of it.

Here are a few tips if you have never practiced yoga on the beach before:

 

  • You don't really need a mat. We often think a yoga mat is required but with yoga on the beach the sand is a much more flexible foundation. The "rules", the postures, and the sand are a little softer. It is often easier to practice beach yoga on a blanket, Turkish towel, or large beach towel. You can "root" your hands and feet into the sand (over your blanket) to create stability. It's all about being open to the experience as it comes to you. Of course, you are welcome to use your mat on top of a blanket/towel too. Your choice!

  • Yes, you will get a little sandy. It's going to happen but it's okay. It's all part of embracing the practice, being present in the moment, and releasing all the "should" thoughts.

  • Bring your water bottle. You will probably get thirsty.

  • Wear sunscreen. The sun can burn your skin even at 9:00AM. Sunburns are a bummer.

  • Sunglasses and even a hat are okay (but the hat might fall off during Sun Salutations - no worries!)


Feel free to stick around after for your own time relaxing on the beach. Bring friends and a picnic. You never know - we might even be granted a pelican “fly by” or a dolphin sighting!

Let us take care of all the details for you. No experience is necessary. If you want to enhance your experience and turn it into a full-day or half-day wellness event that includes hiking and lunch, we've got you covered.
